Call for Proposals – UNESCO Participation Programme 2026–2027

The National Commission of the Republic of Moldova for UNESCO invites interested governmental institutions and national non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to participate in the call for project proposals within the framework of the UNESCO Participation Programme 2026–2027.


🔹 Eligible Areas

Projects must align with UNESCO’s fields of competence:

  • Education
  • Science
  • Culture

They should also reflect UNESCO’s global priorities, such as:

  • Inclusive education and education for persons with special needs;
  • Lifelong learning and adult education;
  • Improving the quality of education;
  • Preservation of cultural and natural heritage;
  • Support for cultural diversity and creativity;
  • Social transformation, ethics of science, and bioethics.

💰 Funding and Support

  • Maximum UNESCO contribution: up to USD 25,000 per national project.
  • Co-financing: strongly encouraged.

📄 Application Procedure

Applicants are invited to submit a Project Idea, using the official template provided below.

🕔 Deadline: 14 November 2025, 17:00 (local time)
📧 Submission: send the Project Idea in English to info@unesco.md

After evaluation and discussion of submitted ideas, selected applicants will be contacted by the Secretariat of the National Commission of the Republic of Moldova for UNESCO to formalize the complete project proposal.
